Hours later, it is 8:02 here in the Golden State, so as with most things, time also is relative, just no relative of mine.

Thanks Ib. I had no use for Neil for many years. As far as I was concerned he was just some hippie. Remember that thread you and I had going about negative stupid angry little shitheads, like me? Anyhow, I'm a fan now. Do you really mellow with age or do you just build up so many toxins that you get tired easily?
I will say, these days, I might go back to listen to something I used to hate and realize that it's not that bad, I just don't like it. It really was a shock to realize that Neil was pretty good and I liked him.
I think it's probably a combination of both ; the toxicity of encroaching old age.
It's good to know you turned your contempt for Neil Young around, whatever the cause.
Neil Young is major. The iconoclastic way that he's gone about his career, while still remaining commercially viable and selling records for decade after decade, is pretty much unparalleled.
Just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents, since I got name-dropped in the post. :)
Especially in those early days. Woodstock era. You have to admire his refusal to buckle under commercial pressure.
