I don't have a guru to help take care of my ills and woes, but if I did it might well be Daevid Allen; antipodean mystic and one-time Soft Machinist. Mind you, I don't think Mr. Allen would dream of setting himself up for the fall. Good thing too.

I feel already better for hearing this again. Seriously. And I hope you do too. It's an ill wind, indeed, that blows no good.

One of my all time favourite bands. I have yet to track down a reasonably priced copy of this particular album on vinyl to replace my old battered copy. I'm afraid CD's don't seem right for Gong!
You're right. When I play any Gong song mentally, there is a mild background of static and the odd click; it requires the warmth of vinyl and a valve driven amp to listen to them at their optimum.
I think the first Gong LP I bought was "The Flying Teapot". It's amazing how ahead of its time this anarchic first release is. I don't have it on vinyl either, but a friend does.
