My kid just received "an unprecedented" three gold awards in an annual art competition and - while I don't necessarily admire those pressures competitions cultivate; in fact I am generally averse to the notion - I am immensely happy for him.
I entered a similar competition myself close to forty years ago, and won jack diddley. Nada. The panel of judges must've been particularly shit that year.
