I bought a 7" yesterday of some hardcore punk band covering "She Cracked". I haven't listened to it yet.
Hard as hell to beat the original, or come even close. "She Cracked" about sums it up.
Yeah, the Fowley demo version of "She Cracked" is probably my favorite Modern Lovers song ever.
Agreed. With the exception of "Roadrunner", maybe.
Like everything on the Modern Lovers, "Old World" is a very evocative song. This might not be the best record John Cale had a hand in but it sounds real, real cool on a Sunday morning.
It's sounding honest and clean here too, Beer.
